We are pleased to announce the release of RDFized LOTUS in RDF Portal. LOTUS is a database of natural product occurrences that links chemical compounds to the organisms in which they have been reported and the supporting literature.
LOTUS integrates chemical structures, biological taxonomy, and literature references to support research on natural products and their distribution across organisms. It also provides chemical classifications from NPClassifier and ClassyFire, along with links to external resources such as PubChem, NCBI Taxonomy, and Wikidata.
RDFized LOTUS is an RDF representation of the LOTUS v11 CSV release, published on April 13, 2026. It represents each reported occurrence as a link between a chemical structure, an organism, and a supporting reference. This enables SPARQL queries to explore these relationships and supports integration with other life science datasets in RDF Portal.
